Wairarapa gravity drainage schemes 

There are 10 gravity drainage schemes within the Wairarapa. All of these gravity drains are owned by landowners. We help carry out the maintenance works on behalf of landowners, including clearing blockages, weed spraying and mechanical cleaning.  

However, the cost of maintenance has been increasing. We are no longer able to cover these costs with the income we receive from landowners.
