Request for information: 

"This is a request for official information under the Local Government Official Information and Meeting Act 1987 relating to the maintenance of bus stops in the Wellington City Area. 

Please provide the following information: 

• How many bus stops are not in use/abandoned in the Wellington City area? By not in use/abandoned, I mean bus stops that are still erected across Wellington, but from which a person can no longer catch a bus. 
  • Please specify the location of abandoned bus stop.
• How much does the council spend on maintaining these bus stops every year? Please provide a breakdown of the cost of replacing seats, paint and any damages that need repairing."
