Elected members’ declaration of personal interests
Personal interests of elected members to the Greater Wellington Regional Council that intersect with their responsibilities at Greater Wellington Regional Council can potentially create conflicts of interest.
To strengthen public trust and confidence in the integrity of the Council’s processes and decision making, and to promote the highest standards of behaviour and conduct, all members are asked to complete a twice-yearly review of personal interests that may intersect with their responsibilities at Greater Wellington Regional Council.
Members’ personal interests that are separate or remote from their responsibilities, or are no more than the ordinary interests of a ratepayer or a resident of the Wellington Region, don't need to be declared as part of this review.
The Council has decided that to further enhance public trust and confidence in the integrity of Greater Wellington Regional Council’s processes and decision making, that a summary of these biannual declarations, made after 1 January 2019, will be available on the website.
