Turn off State Highway 2 at Akatarawa Rd towards Waikanae and follow for 6km. Turn left onto Karapoti Road and follow this to the park entrance.

Dogs are welcome. Please keep them under control and remove droppings. Dogs are not permitted, on the southern portion (Tulsa Park and Zig Zag entrance) of the Cannon Point Walkway as it crosses private land.
Fireworks are prohibited in all Regional Parks and Forest areas.
PF Olsen will begin to harvest the Whakatikei Forest mid-February, with forestry equipment arriving to the site on Friday 14 February.
Due to this harvesting operation, we have put restrictions in place to keep everyone safe. Please abide by them as failure to follow the area restrictions could cause serious harm or death.
Public access to Puketiro Forest is closed until further notice due to logging.
