Friends of the Waikanae River AGM

Friends of the Waikanae River AGM Back to Events calendar

The Friends of the Waikanae River is a volunteer group that is working to improve the environment of the Waikanae River corridor.

Everyone is invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Friends.

Last year’s work by the Friends and Greater Wellington Regional Council will be reviewed and future projects also outlined. You can read the agenda here.

Following the business of the meeting, guest speaker Robin Gunston will give a talk titled Water, water everywhere... but not enough to drink? The talk will be about the Waikanae ki Uta ki Tai (Mountains to Sea) Programme, considering the issues for the River and how the river's health could be maintained or improved.

Further information, including the terms of reference for the group and an agenda for the meeting are available from the Secretary, Jo Fellows, 022 083 1550.

A light supper will be served after the AGM.
